The old Insights tab is now called Performance, and it sits in a different place. The videos show where to find it and how to read it. The English version is above and the Hindi version is below.
Where to find it
- Search your business name on Google while signed in, or open your profile in the Google Maps app.
- Choose Performance.
- Pick a date range. Data is available for several months back.
What the numbers mean
- Profile views: how many people saw your profile, split by Search and Maps, and by mobile and desktop.
- Searches: the actual search terms that showed your profile. This is a goldmine for keyword ideas.
- Calls: taps on the call button.
- Directions: requests for directions to your location.
- Website clicks: visits to your site from the profile.
- Messages, bookings and orders if those features are on.
How to use it
- Compare month on month, and the same month last year for seasonal businesses. Our percentage change calculator does the maths.
- Check which search terms bring views, then use those words in your description, services and posts.
- Work out how many profile views turn into calls with the conversion rate calculator.
- If calls drop suddenly, check for a wrong edit to your phone number or hours.
