If you do not know which marketing brings customers, you cannot decide where to spend. Tracking does not need to be complicated.
1. Ask every customer
“How did you hear about us?” on every call, form and at the counter. Record the answer in a simple sheet. It is the easiest tracking there is.
2. Set up Google Analytics 4
It shows where website visitors come from and what they do. Mark form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks as key events (conversions).
3. Tag your links
Add UTM tags to links in your Instagram bio, ads, emails, WhatsApp messages and Google profile, so Analytics shows exactly which one brought each visitor. Use our UTM link builder.
4. Use a thank-you page
Send every form submission to a thank-you page. It makes conversions easy to track in Analytics and Meta.
5. Track ads properly
Install the Meta Pixel and set up events for leads and purchases. Our Pixel event code generator helps.
6. Check your Google profile insights
See calls, direction requests and website clicks from Google Maps each month.
7. Use unique codes and numbers
- A discount code per channel or influencer.
- A pre-filled WhatsApp message per campaign.
- A separate phone number for major campaigns, if practical.
