When you move, update your Google profile rather than creating a new one. Your reviews and history stay with you.
Before the move
- Note the date you will open at the new address.
- Prepare your new address exactly as it should appear.
- Plan to tell regular customers.
Update the profile
- Open your profile and choose Edit profile, then Location.
- Enter the new address and check the map pin.
- Save. Google may ask you to verify again.
Changing the address can trigger re-verification and a review period. Keep your business details consistent to avoid delays.
Do not create a second profile
A new profile for the new address starts with no reviews and can cause duplicate listing problems.
Update everywhere else
- Website footer, contact page and map.
- Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp Business.
- Directories and citations.
- Invoices, visiting cards and packaging.
Tell customers
Share the new location with a directions link from our Google Maps link generator on WhatsApp and social media.
If your website pages change
If location page URLs change, redirect the old ones; our redirect generator helps.
