Photos are one of the first things people look at on your profile. Businesses with plenty of real, recent photos get more direction requests and calls. The video shows how to upload them.
How to add photos
- Open your profile on Google while signed in.
- Choose Add photo (or Edit profile, then Photos).
- Upload your logo, a cover photo and other photos.
- New photos usually appear within a day, after Google's review.
Which photos to add
- Exterior: the front of your building as a customer sees it, so people can find you.
- Interior: the reception, the shop floor or the dining area.
- Team: real people build trust.
- Work and products: finished jobs, dishes, stock, before-and-after photos.
- Short videos of 30 seconds or less also work.
Photo tips
- Use daylight and a steady hand. Clean the lens.
- Avoid stock images, heavy filters and text overlays.
- Upload a few new photos every month instead of 50 at once.
- JPG or PNG, at least 720 by 720 pixels and under 5 MB. Our image compressor and image resizer help with that.
Photos added by customers
Customers can add photos too. You cannot delete them, but you can report ones that are offensive or not related to your business. The best defence is to keep adding good photos of your own.
