A Meta business portfolio (formerly Business Manager) holds your Facebook Page, Instagram account, ad accounts, Pixel and catalogues in one place. Setting it up properly protects your assets.
Why it matters
- Your business, not an employee or partner, owns the assets.
- You can give and remove access safely.
- Your ad account and Pixel stay with you if you change partners.
Set-up steps
- Create a business portfolio from Meta Business Suite using the owner’s Facebook profile.
- Add your Facebook Page and connect your Instagram account.
- Create or add your ad account, with the correct currency (INR) and time zone; these cannot easily be changed later.
- Create your Pixel (dataset) and add it to the portfolio.
- Verify your business when asked, which can unlock features and improve trust.
- Turn on two-factor authentication for all admins.
Giving partners access
Share access through partner settings so they work from their own portfolio. Do not give out your personal login.
Keep at least two admins
If one person loses access, a second admin can recover the account.
Install tracking
