Catalogue ads (often called dynamic ads) automatically show products from your catalogue to people based on what they viewed or are likely to buy. They are a core tool for online stores.
What you need
- A product catalogue in Meta Commerce Manager, synced from Shopify, WooCommerce or a feed.
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API sending ViewContent, AddToCart and Purchase events with product IDs that match the catalogue.
- Good product images and accurate prices.
Two main uses
| Use | Who sees it |
|---|---|
| Retargeting | People who viewed or added products but did not buy |
| Broad prospecting | New people likely to be interested in your products |
Set-up tips
- Create product sets: best-sellers, new arrivals, under ₹999.
- Add frames or overlays showing price or offers, where allowed.
- Write ad text that works for any product.
- Exclude recent purchasers from retargeting.
Keep the catalogue healthy
Out-of-stock items, wrong prices and broken images waste money. Check the catalogue diagnostics in Commerce Manager regularly.
